I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in NJ. I have been in the field for 13 years, I hold double major Associate and Bachelor degrees in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Psychology, and a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling – Clinical Mental Health. I have worked in a Supportive Housing setting with adult individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, chronic homelessness and domestic violence survivors, facilitating a stable and safe environment in the community for them to live. I have found watching people grow, heal, and learn to LIVE and not just survive, to be empowering, motivating, and humbling.
My experiences have given me significant insight into the importance of making sure that I am mindful, intentional, and person-centered in my practice. I am unscripted, informal, and passionate in my approach to helping people overcome challenges that life throws at them, life is hard! I am here to listen, guide and support you in your journey towards self-healing, reducing fears and self-doubt, finding inner peace and learning to love yourself again
I provide a safe environment where we can look at you as a WHOLE person, not just what you’re experiencing or diagnosed with. I am well-versed in psychiatric rehabilitation and the 8 dimensions of wellness which encompass various areas in your life that impact each other, even if you don’t know it!
While I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, my main focus is providing you a strength-based and person-centered style to amplify YOUR time to get the help you need and deserve, and I’m here to walk with you on this journey. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and talk therapy to help you feel balanced and whole again.
I work with various issues such as: depression; anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, thought disorders, trauma, stress management, CBT, coping skills, mindfulness, intrusive thoughts, suicidal ideation and crisis management.
