I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey and a Certified Child Life Specialist. I received my Masters in Social Work from Widener University and completed a trauma certification. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan from children through older adults in hospitals, hospice, and outpatient therapy settings. I specialize in journeying with individuals facing grief and loss, life changes, trauma, caregiving, and new diagnosis, as well as anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.
I strive to create a judgement free, safe space for individuals to find the courage and vulnerability to be honest with themselves and acknowledge their emotions and experience. I have the privilege to be present as individuals work to find empowerment, self-compassion, and the skills needed to live the life they deserve. I respect every individual has unique strengths, needs, and goals and aim to build a trusting relationship rooted in the respect for each person’s individuality and desire for growth and change.
I embrace a person centered, strengths-based approach to tailor therapy, utilizing elements of various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
In my personal life I place importance on interpersonal relationships, creative expression, movement, community service, and time in nature.
I look forward to working with children, teens, and adults to help identify their own sources of strength, connection, and meaning. Life is full of difficult experiences, conflicting emotions, and complex decision making, but I believe through the therapeutic relationship, each person can find their way to hope, healing, and growth.
