I received my masters degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania and completed concentrations in child/adolescent therapy. I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with over 20 year of experience.
My specialties include psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have earned a certification in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and have extensive experience working with individuals with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I have personal experience with adoption and I am fluent in Spanish and French.
I strongly believe that a thorough strengths based evaluation can be used to develop a personalized road map to help individuals reach their goals. I am passionate about finding creative, energetic ways to engage my therapy clients. I have been known to flexibly adapt treatment protocols to suit my clients interests, strengths and resources. I pull from many modalities to treat my clients, basing my interventions on the interactions at the first meeting and what my clients identify as their most pressing needs. I typically focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques: however, I take a non-directive approach to help clients freely accept their thoughts and emotions when this course is more responsive to their needs.
In my personal time I am passionate about travel, cooking, reading and music. I am a believer in the power and importance of community and friendship circles as catalysts for ongoing support, restoration and growth through interpersonal connections.
