I am a licensed associate counselor in the state of New Jersey. I completed my Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in 2020 and have been working with clients wanting to improve their mental and emotional health since. I embrace an eclectic approach to counseling to assist my clients in utilizing their own strengths in overcoming obstacles, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused approaches, meaning-making, and grief work. I have helped people with feelings of depression, anxiety, grief, trouble adjusting to life transitions, low self-esteem, and difficulties with communication.
My person-centered approach to counseling takes into account both a person’s lived experiences and personal beliefs. You, the client, are the expert of your own life and I feel it is my job to empower you to steer the direction of therapy. I am there to help you discover where you want to go and help you uncover the tools you need to get there. I believe in building a warm relationship of mutual trust in which you and I can both feel comfortable enough to get to work!
I became a mental health counselor after seeing how therapy had made positive changes in the lives of loved ones. By nature, I had always been the person that my friends came to with their struggles, and I decided to learn how to help people professionally and safely.
What I love most about being a therapist is showing people that no matter what is troubling them, they are not alone, and watching people learn to manage and overcome obstacles as therapy sessions progress. I love seeing the growth my clients experience--through life and through counseling. My most profound finding in this career, and in my own life, is that we are always growing; there is no end-point, no moment where we say, "Ah, I know it all now!" In therapy, I hope to help you discover how you grow best and how to cope with the bumps and bruises along the way.
